Saturday mornings were sacred, and those three channels basically raised us. But every so often, if the cable gods were feeling generous, I'd stumble onto Discovery Kids, a mysterious, slightly offbeat corner of television that felt like finding a secret level in a video game.

Shows like Tutenstein, Time Warp Trio, and Strange Days at Blake Holsey High completely rewired my little brain. While everyone else was quoting SpongeBob, I was deep in my "ancient Egypt meets quantum physics" era. It was weird, wonderful, and very formative.
